Global Markets Analysis – 06 February 2017

A commentary written by Tony Tong

[SUMMARY]
• Edible oils of US, China and Malaysia continue to diverge, creating uncertain sentiment.
• We may suggest that should US soybean oil fall to the 33.00 price level, traders may enter a small number of long positions on China and Malaysia edible oils to test the markets.
• Due to the long Chinese New Year holidays, the duration for a downward correct of China edible oils is relatively short.

[ACTION]
• Traders may stay on the sidelines for a few more days, and patiently wait for an opportunity to enter the market at a low price.
